hey acer, i know that this is an old topic, and so i am not sure if you are still in need of activity.. and so please dont take this out of context ok? acer, your forums are great, but maybe they are in need of some reinvention.. please dont take my head off on this, but you know, a little change goes a long way.. you have a lot of members here, right? but the problem is is that they do not post, so that is when you have to find something that will peak their interest. it will be hard since your are not a mind reader, and so,you cant exactly ask every member "what are your interests?" do understand that we all have things in our lives that pull us in different directions.. i for one have my job, my school, my fiance, i am also a partner in my family's entertainment business as well as heavily putting my time and effort into web designing.. (i mean i am a total newb at this.. i can't code for 5hit, well not yet anyway, my 10 year old sister could probably do better than i can. but hey, my mom, friends, and family are my biggest fans and supporters so i try harder and keep at it because they believe in me) Quite frankly Acer, i dont know how you do it.. i think just about every forum, that i am affiliated with, or a member of, you are a mod there with like 100 or more posts... well kind sir, i tip my hat off to you. because i don't think i can be that ubiquitous.. even if i wasn't busy. I salute you. but not every one here possesses the same gifts that you do when it comes to going to and from different forums.. so dont try to stress yourself ok? Dont try to push yourself to hard to the point where you are threatening your staff because they are not posting.. because they'll only end up not coming at all and this will only hurt your chances of getting more active members. I am not saying abandon your forum, or to close, or delete it, but try going to other forums and hanging around there.. post around like a regular member, and if people see your link, and they like your attitude, they will sign up. Owning a forum should be fun, not stressful.. there is no need to compete.. some people dont get it.. it is not a competition. So there really isnt a need for you to stress yourself for gaining members.. and posts. I feel for you acer, and i under stand where you are coming from.. I have 41 members, and 2,337 posts right now.. the most active members on there right now are myself, my gmod, (who i know from my brothers forum) my best friend who is in Iraq, my other best friend, and my fiance. my forum gets seen through a lot of different avenues, and it gets a lot of compliments and good reviews as well, however, no one signs up. Yes it is frustrating, my gmod just started college, one of my best friends is in Iraq, my other best friend, well she works, goes to college, has a son. and is also a single parent, my fiance works and goes to school full-time. I put myself in their shoes.. i am just as busy as they are, and so i know that i wouldn't want the admin of any forum putting pressure on me to post. So i don't do it to them. If they are truly loyal members then they will come back and post when their lives permit them to. and I just work on my forum, and post on others when i have the time to. Appearance also plays a key role as well.. your green color scheme is nice, but there may be some who really cant get used to all this color.. i believe i remember reading a little while ago about someone commenting on it, and you responded that you have it this way because green is your favorite color. while that maybe good for your, it would certainly be bad for those who really hate that color. mind you, i hate the color green.. sorry, nothing personal.. i just dont like that color, as well as red and other bright colors.. (but i am here because you seem like a nice and friendly person, and you do have a good assortment of topics, despite your color scheme 
my favorite colors are blue and black, how ever i do not color my forum, these colors because well too many dark colors tend to give anything a rather morbid feel to it. and so i choose lighter colors, and i also alternate between light and dark colors. i know that i cant please everyone, and so i give them variety by adding a skin changer, so that they can change the skin to what ever suits them. I noticed that you have no others skins to choose from... so even your members cannot change the scheme in case all of this green hurts their eyes.. Acer, i hope that you dont take this the wrong way, i am only trying to help.
