These are the Debate Forum Rules. Read them before making a single post in the Debate Forum, Moderators will be extra strict to make sure this forum does not get out of order. If it does, your post will be deleted and you will be warned for this.
1.) Getting Your Debate Idea to be a Thread:
If you have an idea for a discussion topic in this section, you may suggest it in two ways:
The first way is to Private Message one of the Moderator of this section with your idea of a debate. Include the name of the debate and the introduction post to the debate. It will either be approved or disapproved by a Moderator. If your idea isn't approved, do not Private Message a Moderator asking why. NOTE: We will get Debate moderators if they are good at this forum and good at Debates.)
There is a thread at the top of this forum called "Suggest A Debate Topic". This is another way to suggest a topic you would like to be debated. Simply post the topic subject there and optionally include the introduction. If you do not include the introduction, a Moderator will make an introduction for you.
2.) Following the Other Forum Rules:
Read the original version of the Forum Rules which can be found here or at the forum. It is especially important you follow these rules in the Debate Forum. Moderators will show absolutely NO leniency to rulebreakers, no matter what your reason be. If your reason is lame, we do not accept such matters.
3.) Read Every Post:
Before posting your opinion on a debate, make sure you have read every post by every member. You SHOULD do so in every forum but the fact of the matter is not everybody does so. Please take the extra effort to actually read what's going on, so you have an idea of where the conversation lays when you make your post. Not doing so is the equivilency of entering a conversation and speaking out of nowhere. People who are suspected of not reading the posts prior to theirs will receive warning points.
4.) Punctuation, Spelling and Grammar:
Please, this is the Debate Forum. Take the extra seconds to properly end your sentences with periods, and try to capitalize the proper words. No one enjoys reading a half a page of posts that are a continuous sentence and have no punctuation. Make an attempt to spell correctly but it's understandable if you aren't a good speller.
These are the rules. If you have any questions about these rules, feel free to Private Message me about this. Thank you.
Any more debate rule suggestions? Please Private Message me.
