because you probably change the mirc's directory ex. like copy the mirc icon to somewhere else instead of its original place which is in the Mirc Folder.

Or it could be that if you have a script created by someone that is messed up.

Also when typing the server name if it says "Unable to Resolve ServeR" or something like that it means, that server doesnt exist. if it says Connection Time Out means server is down. If you connect and after about 5 seconds you keep on getting disconnected its because your Banned from the server or having more than 3 connections.
