These are the OFFICIAL Channel/Chat Rules for #Acer and what will happen if you break any of them at all. Follow/Obey them and you should have absolutely no problems whatsoever. Break any of them and you will yield certain consequences to yourself, and it won't be pretty if you do. The founder of the channel, that is #Acer, which is owned by yours truly... me... Acer, will NOT be held accountable and responsible for your actions of breaking CERTAIN of these chat rules. Under the condition of myself, the founder of the channel, CAN however, break these chat rules if they are any serious matters to attend to, so please respect that. I'm doing this for a good cause, so you people should know better by now!
Now, without further ado... here are the chat rules... of #Acer... so continue on reading below:
* 1.) Disrespecting The Founder Of #Acer - Acer:[/u]
- This is especially important. Do NOT in any circumstances disrespect, insult, name call, or any negative references regarding about me in ALL cases! This is not an IRC Channel where you can spit crap at the founder... and if you continue to backtalk me in various IRC Channels about me in a negative way, you will be kicked and/or permanently banned... or worse, akicked as well if it is too severe. To all members, if you continue to disrespect the founder of #Acer, there will be Hell waiting on you!
* 2.) Disrespecting Other Regular Users + OP's, HalfOp's, & Even Voice's:[/u]
- No disrespecting other users, the staff of #Acer which includes full operators (Ops), half operators (HalfOps), and Voices (Though not staff but respect them). Please DO respect all staff members. This is not a suggestion, but a code of behaviour! If you disrespect any of my staff members, you will be warned (then warned a few times), then kicked (then kicked a few times), then permanently banned after they have enough with your actions. If you evade, you may possibly get akicked as well, if you abused your way around it. For staff members, it is your duty to enforce the chat and being "staff" addressing the people in the chatroom. If you disrespect your fellow staff members whatsoever, you will be demoted if you abused your powers. To all members, if you continue to disrespect the staff members, there will be Hell waiting on you!
* 3.) Begging For Status:[/u]
- No OP and/or Half-Op begging. If we feel you deserve status, you will get it. If I know you, you might get status from the either IRC Server you lost it from. As for Voice begging, I MIGHT give you a voice if I do see fit, or if one of the full ops or halfops see fit as well.
Note: If your names are registered on the IRC Server, free VOps will be given out if you join my channel #Acer! You will automatically get that status! If you earn your place if you are a VOp, and being active, then that person will be promoted to HOp... then AOp... and so on.
* 4.) No Removal Of Bans Of Any Kind:[/u]
- No staff members that includes full operators and half operators may be allowed to remove bans that other staff have placed on the chatroom. Even Co-Founders. The founder of the IRC Channel will solely make its decision on removing any or all the bans being placed at the given time.
Note: I might allow this. If there are too many bans on the "Ban List", please unban them straight away. Thank you, staff!
* 5a.) Spamming - General Forms Of It:[/u]
[DEFINITION OF SPAM - Spam is Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages.]
- Absolutely no spamming of any kind is allowed in #Acer AT ALL! Pointless spamming will get you kicked, banned, or even worse, being akicked. So do NOT even try to do it! Don't even attempt to do it either! And don't even stupid to even start spamming either!
* 5b.) Spamming - Flooding:[/u]
- No Flooding! It is extremely pointless and it should NOT be tolerated. Clone/Notice Flooding is also prohibited whatsoever. Please do it somewhere else in an another IRC channel where it is safer, but NOT in #Acer. We do not tolerate it anywhere in our channel. It isn't worth it. Plus, it's annoying. So, you better not do that!
* 5c.) Spamming - Repeating:[/u]
- No Repeating! Kinda similar to flooding, but if you dare repeating something of a word multiple times, even spamming it repeatedly, that is considered annoying and rude. Please reduce yourself from repeating in #Acer, even if the chatroom itself is full of text.
* 6.) Private + Public Sexuality Conversations:[/u]
- No forms of inappropriate sexual conversations are allowed in #Acer, especially in the public. We don't want to have many "sexuality" crap tolerated. You can still do it, but don't be rude and respect the gay and lesbian community, or else I will call GLAAD and arrest all of your candy asses, so you better watch out!
* 7.) Cursing / Cussing / Swearing:[/u]
- It is mostly a family-friendly-oriented chatroom, so please try to reduce the swearing a little as we may POSSIBLY have kids in the chatroom lurking. This includes the likes of "shut the fu*k up", "f*ck", "bi*ch", "a**hole", "c*nt", etc.
Note: Swearing is NOW allowed. If you get mad, just... RANT AWAY!
* 8.) Racial / Sexual / Prejudice Remarks:[/u]
- No form of racial, sexual, or prejudice remarks of any kind. These harmful words are not allowed, and if you are being annoying and disrespectful with them, in any certain way, it will possibly lead you into serious consequences, or even worse, being banned. There's no need for any of that on the chatroom.
* 9.) OP Wars:[/u]
- Absolutely no OP wars or $hiTlisting in our main channel, #Acer. The channel #AcerOPWars&FloodZ is made for that. Certain people just take it out of their hands to do it...
Note: The mode lock is set to +Q so no op warring, $hiTlisting, or kicking + banning will occur in #Acer.
Note2: If necessary, +R MIGHT BE modelocked. You need to be registered when joining. If this is causing problems, unmodelocking +R will be no problem. +Q is also modelocked too. +R won't be.
* 10a.) Co-Founder Rules In #Acer - Having Many Responsibilities:[/u]
- For all co-founders, this is very Important, so please continue on reading. Please do not[/u] abuse your co-founder status. Do NOT take over the channel, change passwords, screw the modelock, change the topic, or do anything to it like change stuff for NO REASON! Even don't[/u] tell anyone the channel password of #Acer AT ALL! Only I[/u] will be in charge of that. I might assign you stuff to proceed whatever I have in my mind for you guys. Remember, protect[/u] the channel in all costs! Do not akick or remove anyone from the ban list until you got my approval by me. Always obey the chat rules![/u] Plus, do not akick people for no reason that you feel it is necessary.
* 10b.) SOp Rules In #Acer - Having Many Responsibilities:[/u]
- Note: Please do not abuse your SOp status. Don't try and remove AOps, VOps, or HOps, even akicks. If you request to add someone to the list, please notify me and I will approve or disapprove your suggestion. And please, protect[/u] the channel in all costs! Do not akick or remove anyone from the list until you got my approval by me.
* 10c.) AOp Rules In #Acer:[/u]
- Note: Do NOT abuse your AOp status. Do not kick, ban, or both, start S*i*listing, or kick people with no reason.
* 10d.) HOp Rules In #Acer:[/u]
- Note: Do NOT abuse your HOp status. Same as AOp Rules.
* 10e.) VOp Rules In #Acer:[/u]
- Note: Do NOT abuse your VOp status. Be co-operative and idle and you might get promoted.
^ * 11.) New Rule: Advertising My IRC Channel #Acer In Various Rooms On The PARTICULAR IRC Server/Network:[/u]
- Although you people try your bestest and your hardest to support my IRC Channel #Acer and even bring people to my chatroom, it is not recommended to spam, flood, and repeat my channel and exposing it in public chatrooms over and over and over. That is not the way to get people to my chatroom. If you want to get people to my chatroom, you can do a few things:
. Private message people and tell them about my IRC Channel, and see if they can join, but do it in a very nice way to convince them to join.
. Invite people to my channel if you know the invite command to invite people to IRC Channels like mine.
. Make up a random open IRC Channel, invite that person to that channel, and tell them to join my channel #Acer by pasting it on the newly-formed channel you made and just put it there.
Facial/Serious Consequences If You Break Any Of These Chat Rules:[/u]
- First, you will receive a warning the first time. If you still continue to break the chat rules after that, you will be warned the second time. Continue that, and you will receive the third and final warning. After that, if you STILL continue, you will get a kick. Then you will be kicked again if you continue to abuse the rules. Next if you STILL continue, a ban comes in which will be anywhere from roughly 1-5 minutes. Then another ban if you STILL continue for roughly 6-10 minutes. Then, if you STILL continue, then a 24 hour ban or kline through my bot (AcerTechBot) and/or MTR's Bot (AcerSecurity). If you evade your ban or kline or whatever, you will be akicked. Evading that and we will akick and kline you permanently. Simply follow the chat rule guidelines and you should be okay.
If you didn't do anything wrong or lost status or got akicked, I might re-add you to the list that you lost it from and delete your akick from the list. I'll also inform the SOps or co-founders that may have done it wrongly to the channel if that is possible, so we will see on that.
Always Support #Acer and try and try to get people as you can if you WANT TO! We are mostly a peaceful and living chatroom community to IRC, so respect that to all costs and do NOT abuse them! It is a privilege to be there, not a right.
